We are 1st St Neots Scouts Group, part of the Scout Association, and we are based in Bedford St, St Neots, Cambridgeshire.
1st St Neots is one of the oldest groups in the county: indeed one of the oldest in England. We were formed on the 13th May 1910, just three years after Scouting was founded in 1907, and have been providing Scouting ever since. When we were formed, we met in a room in the old Paynes Brewery and moved to our own building in 1936 after it was built with a £50 grant from the King George Trust Fund. We are in the midst of a redevelopment programme.
We currently have around 80 youth members and a leader team of about 15.
We have recently expanded our provision to provide two beaver colonies, two cub packs and two scout troops. As a registered charity – reg no: 303347 – you can access our charity reports via The Charities Commission
