About 1st St Neots

Scouting in St Neots

1st St Neots Scouts Group delivers #SkillsForLife to children and young people between the ages of 6 and 18 who live near our base in Bedford St, St Neots, Cambridgeshire.

1st St Neots is one of the oldest groups in the county: indeed one of the oldest in England. We were formed on the 13th May 1910, just three years after Scouting was founded, and have been providing Scouting ever since. When we were formed, we met in a room in the old Paynes Brewery and moved to our own building in 1936 after it was built with a £50 grant from the King George Trust Fund. We are nearing the end of a redevelopment programme that has doubled the size of the building and improved the grounds.

We currently have over 100 youth members and an adult volunteer team of about 40.
