The Group is lucky to own its own hall in Bedford St but this does mean we need to hire it out as much as possible so we can offset the costs of running it. Our own sections use it on weekday evenings, but that does leave it free to hire during most days and weekends.
We are looking for somebody who lives local to the hall and can take on the task of responding to hall booking enquiries, finalising bookings, managing the hall calendar to avoid double-bookings, and opening and closing the hall for new hirees.
We need somebody who is IT literate, has their own computer or laptop with internet access and who lives near the hall in Bedford St so they open up for users. You need to be organised, but that’s about it. You will need to access our own IT services occasionally, but we will give you training and guidance.
You will not need to become a Trustee for this role, but you will be required to undergo a DBS check.
If you feel you could take on this role, we’d love to hear from you.
Note: This is an unpaid volunteer role.
